Price Guide

For American customers, and anyone else to whom it may benefit, I can accept payment in US dollars, by cheque.

For customers who wish to pay by credit card, I can accept any Visa or Mastercard, including Switch and other debit cards. When a frame has to be ordered I will ask for a deposit of £200 to commence the order, In the case of cancellation, I will refund the deposit once the frame has been sold, this is because, it is not possible to cancel frames once ordered, and I will be required to pay for them.

I make every effort to keep high stocks, normally three of each size in each model range, However in the case of Colnago, there are up to nineteen sizes, four fork options, and more than 100 colour choices, this makes the total options in the C50 for example at 7600 possibilities, so it is inevitable, that to get the exact combination of colour, size, and fork, frames have to be ordered, I will never mislead anyone over delivery times, and will pass on information as exact as I can, but delays can and do happen, which are normally beyond my control. In the case of Colnago, the official warranty period is two years, I will personally undertake to give a six year warranty against manufactured faults on these frames.

I will also give the very best effort to maintaining the most competitive prices I can, as I have for the last 30 years. I also give the undertaking, that I will resist all attempts, by manufacturers and distributors, to fix high prices.

There are in this trade a large number of price cartels, even though they are illegal in most countries, De Rosa is an example, the King has risen from a price of £1690 in 2003 to more than £2250 in 2004, as there is now just one distributor for each country.

Delivery: I use UPS expedited service for frame and parts. Example: 1 Colnago frame box delivered to the USA is £89.00 plus 1% insurance Frame and parts inc 1 pr wheels, £131.00 plus 1% insurance which is 2 Colnago frame boxes taped together.

Maestro ONLY use UPS!

Fully built bikes can be delivered in a Sci Con bike box to the USA freight is then £150. The box can be supplied at cost price.

Regret under no circumstances can Parcel Force be used, as I have experienced huge losses in the past when using their services.

The obligation of warranty is very clear under European Law:

A warranty claim has to be addressed to the person or organisation, who transacted the original retail sale, in the case of Maestro, that is me.

The goods will be returned to me, I will organise the repair, replacement, or refund, the freight to the manufacturer or distributor of the goods is my responsibility, as is the cost of return to the customer, as in any country, the cost of the return to me, or any retailer, is the responsibility of the customer.

There is in fact no such thing as a grey import, goods are either legally purchased on commercial invoices, or they are stolen.

All my goods I offer for sale are legally purchased from bona fide manufacturers, agents, distributors, or conventional wholesalers.

The current fashion is to defend high prices, by authorising dealers, i.e. a price cartel, designed to remove the competitive element of sales, PRICE CARTELS ARE ILLEGAL, in virtually every country, in Europe, a company director involved in price cartels, can be liable on conviction to a prison sentence of up to five years.

The only thing you are guaranteed from an authorised dealer, IS A HIGHER PRICE, you are not guaranteed knowledge of the product, superior service, or even a correctly transacted warranty.

I have personally organised the repair of Colnago frames when the authorised distributor has refused to do so, Bicycle World USA was the retailer involved.
