Payment

It is quite normal, to have to order frames for clients to get the correct size & colour. This can in some circumstances take many weeks, even months and to this end, I cannot and will not give guesstimations on delivery dates. I will ask for a deposit to commence an order, I will have to pay for the frame when it is available, even though the client may cancel due to impatience. Even though there can be problems with delivery I try to make very clear at all stages, I really am not able personally to deal with harassment, so if this course is taken by anyone, I will cancel their contract of order. Please be clear about all these facts before ordering. Deposits will be returned at my discretion. I prefer to deal with people around the world as friends, and can give advantage of over 50 years experience in cycling, to those that choose to listen. Stock

I endeavour to keep a good selection of Colnago & Time frames in stock, However due to the complexity of the marques, particularly Colnago, who have in some model ranges 23 sizes, and over 120 archive & current colours. I will never mislead anyone over delivery times, and will pass on information as exact as I can, but delays can and do happen, which are normally beyond my control. Colnagos official warranty is 2 years, however in the event of damage to a frame, I can get repair work done by my distributor, at reasonable cost on frames sold by me, repainting can also be arranged.

Pricing

I will also give the very best effort to maintaining the most competitive prices I can, as I have for the last 30 years. I also give the undertaking, that I will resist all attempts, by manufacturers and distributors, to fix high prices.

Warranty

The obligation of warranty is very clear under European Law:

A warranty claim has to be addressed to the person or organisation, who transacted the original retail sale, in the case of Maestro, that is me.

The goods will be returned to me, I will organise the repair, replacement, or refund, the freight to the manufacturer or distributor of the goods is my responsibility, as is the cost of return to the customer, as in any country, the cost of the return to me, or any retailer, is the responsibility of the customer.

There is in fact no such thing as a Colnago grey import, goods are either legally purchased on commercial invoices, or they are stolen.

All my goods I offer for sale are legally purchased from bona fide manufacturers, agents, distributors, or conventional wholesalers.

Price Cartels Are Illegal

The current fashion is to defend high prices, by authorising dealers, i.e. a price cartel, designed to remove the competitive element of sales, PRICE CARTELS ARE ILLEGAL, in virtually every country, in Europe, a company director involved in price cartels, can be liable on conviction to a prison sentence of up to five years.

The only thing you are guaranteed from an authorised dealer, IS A HIGHER PRICE, you are not guaranteed knowledge of the product, superior service, or even a correctly transacted warranty.

I have personally organised the repair of Colnago frames when the authorised distributor has refused to do so, Bicycle World USA was the retailer involved.
